Union Council Birote produced highly genius sons as Gen. Maqsood Abbasi, Bregd. (R) Musaddiq Abbasi, Col. (R) Sabraz Abbasi and Col. (R) Mushtaq Qureshi who is one of them. Col. (R) Mushtaq Qureshi not only a son of soil but a patriotic soldier of Pakistan Army.
Family Background
Col. (R) Mushtaq Qureshi belonged to Dhoke Mohrha of Birote Khurd, Union Council of Birote, district Abbottabad in a rehighly religio-bussiness merchant family. His ancestors came in Circle Bakote from Qandhar, Afghanistan in mid 17th century with Nadir Shah Durrani and settled in Mughal capital Delhi. His grand grand father migrated to Kashmir in seven decade of 18th century and then in Circle Bakote. The ancestors of Qazi Sijawal Khan (Ex Chairman, Sarwer Abbasi (Naeb Nazib of UC Birote) and other notables of Nikodral family of Dhund Abbasies of Birote Khurd requested and offered him a prestigious joy of preaching, teaching as well as religious faithful role of leadership. He settled and constructed Central Masque at Mohrha where his grand fathers spent one and a half century in service of Quraan teachings and preaching of divinely gifted religion Islam. Molana Qazi Mir Alam Qureshi was the last imam and Khateeb. He migrated at Sangralan, Uppr Basian, UC Birote in 1930.

Col. (R) Mushtaq Qureshi father Molana Abdul Majid Qureshi had possessing dimensional character of life. He was a religious think tank, a merchant in Rawalpindi and with bright vision of life. He believed in miracles of education and power of knowledge therefore he going to settle in Rawalpindi. He promoted his younger brothers Dilpazir Qureshi and Abdul Hamid Qureshi in education and when they completed their academic qualifications they were appointed in Punjab educational high ranked positions. He had close blood relationship with all religious families of Circle Bakote as he was son in law of of Birote Alvi Awans and Charehan, Murree Awans. He first married with a lady of Alvi Awans of Birote. Mushtaq Ahmed Qureshi maternal grandfather was Molana Mohammed Yousaf Alvi of Central Birote. His elder brother was Maqsood Ahmed Qureshi, a businessman.
Migration third time
Mushtaq Ahmed Qureshi all family migrated to Rawalpindi and Islamabad in 7th decade of 20th century. His all family members are highly educated as his step brother Irshad Ahmed Qureshi was DG of Fedral Education Department. He himself appointed as administrative officer of Hamderd University Islamabad Campus after retirement from Pakistan Army. After his retirement as Director Hamdard University he thought to help poor and under privileged people so he have joined a charity organization as volunteer which was formed by his four old friends The association is named as "PAKISTAN KIDNEY PATIENTS ASSOCIATION" which treats poor kidney patients free and gives Dialysis services (Gurdoon ki safai). Daily they treat about fifty patients. Now his motto is to serve the people without any discrimination. His other family members are settled in USA, Canada and Australia.

 Mr. Mushtaq Qureshi went under a major knee operation successfully. By the grace of Allah Almighty and prayers. She is recovering. Col. Mushtaq Qureshi expressed his thankfulness to all his relatives and friends who felt concerned and showed empathy.

He is engaged in employment in a Saudi firm.
